Heading home.

As I write this we are nearly to Lacrosse and will be excited to say we're on WI soil, but still have a way to go.  Hard to believe that only this morning we were in South Dakota. Our views out the window have changed from brown to green.  From mountains to farm fields.  From antelopes and prairie dogs to black & white cows.

We left South Dakota early this morning and made a stop at Wall Drug.  That's a fun place!  Could have spent hours there but hit the road again.  Drove past the Badlands and then lunch at the Corn Palace (see picture). 
Long boring stretch through MN without the option of stopping at a rest stop- they were all closed!  Due to gov't shutdown? 

Now will stop for supper and keep going.   We'll probably roll into Green Bay around 11. 

I'll plan to blog one last time tomorrow with a few more picture.
